Install the plugin

During the preview the plugin is distributed as a file:

  1. Download Ridewright.rbxm.
  2. In Roblox Studio open the Plugins tab → Plugins Folder, and drop the file there. (Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Roblox\Plugins; macOS: ~/Documents/Roblox/Plugins.)
  3. Restart Studio. A Ridewright button appears on the Plugins toolbar; click it to open the panel.

When the plugin first contacts the service, Studio asks whether it may connect to ridewright.antwon.dev. Choose Allow. If you denied it by mistake, open Plugins → Manage Plugins, find Ridewright and enable HTTP for that domain.

The plugin only sends piece names and the settings you choose. It never uploads your scripts, and the service only ever returns data (piece lists and numbers), never code.

Connect your account

Create a free account. You'll get an API key starting with rw_. Paste it into the plugin's Account box and press Save key. The key is stored in Studio's plugin settings on your computer. Revoke or create keys from the dashboard at any time.

Build by hand (free)

Insert starter coaster drops a working oval in front of the camera. Select it (or any part of it) and click piece buttons to snap them onto the open end of the track. Remove last piece takes one off. Every action is undoable with Ctrl+Z.

Track rules: pieces live on an 8-stud grid. Slopes rise 6 studs per piece; FlatToUp/UpToFlat transitions rise 2 each. A sloped end only accepts the matching slope pieces; the plugin tells you when a piece can't follow. The ride needs exactly one Station and should end back at the station's entrance.

Generate a layout (5 credits)

Choose a style (family, thrill, extreme), Realistic or Arcade motion, the footprint you have (width × depth in studs), maximum height and piece count. Generate new builds a new coaster in front of the camera; Into selected replaces the selected coaster's track. Each generated design is saved to your account with a code like dAbC123xyz.

The generator lays a chain lift and first drop, adds hills and turns, routes back to the station without overlaps and sizes the brake run. Each candidate is simulated with the kit's own motion model before it is returned.

Import a design (free)

Paste a design code (from the website generator or your designs list) into Import a design code and press Build design. Designs made on the public home page are claimed by the first account that imports them.

Check & finish

Check ride (1 credit) reads the selected coaster's track in order and simulates a full dispatch: it reports stalls, brake exit speed, overlaps, top speed, forces and airtime. Finish track (2 credits) adds the pieces needed to bring an open track down to the ground and back into the station, with a sized brake run.

Coaster settings

Select the coaster model → Properties → Attributes:

AttributeValuesMeaning

Pieces

PieceShape
Station24-stud boarding platform with gates. Exactly one per coaster.
Straight, Brake8 studs flat. Brakes slow fast trains to 10 studs/s.
TurnLeft, TurnRightQuarter circle, radius 8.
FlatToUp, UpToFlatTransition into / out of a climb, +2 studs each.
SlopeUp, ChainLiftClimb +6 studs. ChainLift pulls the train at 7 studs/s.

HTTP API

Base URL https://ridewright.antwon.dev. Authenticate with Authorization: Bearer <api key>. Responses are JSON. Errors have error and message; 402 means not enough credits, 429 means slow down (30 requests/minute per key).

A design result contains layout.sequence (piece names from the station), settings (coaster attributes to apply), report (duration, speeds, forces, airtime, stall), profile rows [t, s, v, y, g, lateral], a preview polyline and warnings. Forces are in the kit's stylised gravity of 32 studs/s².

Data & cancellation

We store your email, a salted password hash, hashed API keys, your designs and a usage log. Your Roblox places, scripts and players are never sent to us. Built coasters run entirely inside your experience and never contact the service, so they keep working whether or not you keep a plan. See terms & privacy.
